The color associated with metal, particularly in traditional Chinese medicine and the Five Elements theory, is white. This association comes from the idea that each element—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—has its corresponding color. In this context, metal also signifies qualities such as clarity, purity, and precision, which are often represented by the color white. Additionally, in Chinese philosophy, metal is linked to autumn, representing a time of harvest and reflection, which further reinforces the connection to the color white as a symbol of completion and the onset of a new season. This clarity and purity can be seen in various aspects of Chinese culture, art, and even food, where white is often considered an auspicious color.
